Depression sucks! Sorry, but that's the truth. If you are depressed, then it's best to be honest about it. You begin to criticize yourself and doubt yourself. You may feel lonely and have physical symptoms, as well. Such as, flu like symptoms and aches and pains. This will affect your relationship and those that are close to you. Here is how you can tell if you are depressed and if it is hurting your relationship:
- Can't sleep or never feel rested. We all need our rest, at least eight hours. It's important that you know how much sleep you need and that you get it.
- Extremely irritable. The little things really set you off and you just can't let it go. You take things out on your partner that aren't their fault.
- Can't trust others. You always question what other people's motive may be. Once wronged, you never forgive.
- You can't enjoy the moment. You are always worried about the future. You fear for the worst and predict that the worst is always in the future. You won't spend money on yourself because you fear you will run out.
- Your friends and partner complain and don't like to be around you. You may feel like they have been avoiding you, but they are really trying to stay away from you.
- You feel worthless. You are always comparing yourself to others and you never measure up. This is a trap for depression.
- You just can't have fun. Maybe, you've been told this by your partner and friends. You always look at the negative and never the positive.
